Selling the "I got dummied so hard" hit .

Nothing sells getting dummied like some gumby legs.

Awww... it's Sutter's mother's birthday and the win is for her.

Sometimes.

I find he plays favourites too much and he falls too hard for “good stories”

Seems like something he would do.

Sutter was commenting about an unknown line that didn't have a great game. At least that's what I got from his comments.

He said we need 4 lines going to win games and that he felt not all lines were up to the task tonight. Room for improvement.

Was that Francis arguing with Sutter that her birthday was yesterday? Francis is disgraceful.

Naw - I think that was a Darryl Sutter joke. That's the way it came across.

He was embellishing the play trying to draw a penalty.

In terms of xGF% at 5v5 tonight, only Ritchie (36.01%), Monahan (43.84%) and Gaudreau (45.11%) were below 50% tonight. Them, along with Mangiapane (52.47%), Valimaki (55.59%) and Backlund (58.42%) were the only 6 players under 60%.

Tanev (70.17%), Hanifin (72.05%), Bennett (73.49%), Leivo (74.72) and Ryan (93.30%!!!!) were all above 70%.

Gotta consider the factor of Montreal playing their 2nd game after ending their last game like 19 hours prior, but overall, a phenomenal performance for Sutter's first game.

No, they had to surpass the Hull's, which they did last year.

Did anyone ask Sutter what was up with the very brief changes to the lines in the third when Backlund came out with the 4th line and Ryan played on Lindholm’s line? I’m wondering if Dube maybe had a brief issue.

I love beast mode Bennett. Truly one of the most enjoyable players.

He banked some good will with Sutter tonight no doubt.

Darryl had 62 points and 86 penalty minutes one year!

Pretty hard to argue with a coach that has better stats than you
