With the exception of the Gaidreau line the Flames are filling in the open ice gaps that lead the opposition to sustained o zone time. Really nice work.

Gaudreau and Monahan are going to need some time to get their feet under them with Sutter. I forsee some lost icetime for a while, while they figure it out.

But thank the gods that the Bennett line looks good to go for a push.
When we signed Leivo, I recall advocating for a Dube - Bennett - Leivo line.

It's not quite that, but it's much the same concept with Ryan and Dube and Bennett kind of shifting roles.

They're skating and not getting worked by their match ups or giving up high danger chances. Its a step.

Ya he kinda acted annoyed like it was Principe asking a McDavid question.

The response would have been gold for that situation but I think it was legit here.

A bit hyperbolic. All four lines have looked good.

Ouch. Ryan Leslie with a pretty Gene Principle-esque question there, asking an opposing player about the other team (Sutter in this case specifically) and not their own, and Toffoli shoots him down right away.

Not sure I can agree with that , as I think Gaudreaus kind of on an island tonight. Land of the lost.

The funny thing is I think he'll be "relieved" whether it goes well or poorly.

Wouldn't be the worst idea in the world. More shooting drills in practice would do some of these guys a lot of good.

I love how we are playing fast, winning the game and yet the Negative Nancy's are still finding things to gripe about. The core guys will start finding the net, calm the F down and enjoy the game.

The panel is so much better with Morrison and Stajan than it is with Francis
