Finished a check on the same guy moments prior. Lots of finished checks from the good guys.

I mean, it's possible I'm just being a homer, but I'm convinced Mangiapane is going to be a legit star within the next couple of seasons.

Effort, pace, forechecking? Man Ward has really turned the corner

Mangiapane buzzing.

Most guys pressuring. I like so far.

But I’m also mad I didn’t buy a blasty immediately.

Well done by Bennett to stay on side... kind of mowed over though with no call

I really want to see what a PP will look like with Sutter establishing the system.

Flames have been really good at NOT moving the puck backwards this period. First time they do it (Lucic) the Canadiens get their first real pressure of the game. Coincidence?

“Very close to interference”

...it was interference, it went uncalled.

My dad got me a Blasty hat today. Pretty pleased with it. I'd like if Adidas made one at some point as well.

2 shots allowed in 14 minutes, this looks like a very different team already.

Also Looch has some fairly deceptive wheels on him.

At some point they will have to call something against the Habs.

I feel very confident that Markstrom is the sort of goalie Darryl can make it work with.

His Blasty mask is top shelf.

Well, not the first time in the game, just the first one in a bad spot. They’ve done it a bunch, but then moved it ahead again quickly, so it’s not that noticeable.

You know what’s crazy is that I don’t feel like they’re playing at an unsustainable pace. They look like a competent NHL team.

When the Flames are getting outplayed it's called by the book. Flames controlling the play it's prison rules.

Not generating much in terms of grade A chances but the pressure all over the ice is relentless. This is a breath of fresh air.

Exactly the right word. Competent.

This level of execution and effort should be the norm if you’re paid millions of dollars a year to do the job.
