I suppose the Giants could be a threat if they can add some nice pieces through free agency and the draft but the division looks like it could be worst in the league for a few years. No excuse for the Cowboys not to have a home playoff game next season.

Good riddance! One of the laziest players I have ever seen. He got his big contract and quit. The pictures of him in his last season in New England playing for a contract when he was lean compared to how big he got with the Raiders (400 lbs) is telling of his commitment. The ongoing joke was when he would decide to play his next game as there was always some excuse to miss another week.

Allen Robinson - Tagged
Kenny Golladay - Not tagged
Kenny is gonna probably become the highest paid receiver in the league now. Allen Robinson must be so pissed his career is going to be wasted between Bortles, Trubisky, Foles, and whatever loser is the Bears QB next year.

It seems like he's been around forever but Robinson is only 27. He will still have a chance to play with a good QB and he may have to wait another year or two. Great news for Golladay as he jumps to the top of the WR free agency list. Even good for a guy like Algholor coming off a career season.

Jerry trying to cover his tracks for botching the negotiation and getting woodsheded, so leak out "it's cause of the new TV deal" (that by all leaks is actually going to be a letdown for the NFL).

Happy (and a little surprised) about Marcus Williams. Dude will forever be tied to the Minnesota Miracle as the guy who blew it, but he's turned into a very good safety since then. Tackling is still his weak point, but his range of motion is insane.

Man even by Jerry standards his spin to try and make it seem like he got a great deal with Dak is embarrassing.

It's market value. Not a good contract but not a bad one either. Market.

Saints cut Emmanuel Sanders and Kwon Alexander...those ones hurt. I wonder if Sanders goes back to San Francisco.

Maybe it's me but if it's not good then it's bad. Is market value for a guy that's top 15 to be the 2nd highest paid in the league? He's the 2nd highest paid QB just behind Mahomes except he's not nearly as good as Mahomes or Watson, Wilson, Rogers, Brady, etc. People have short memories but the Cowboys started the season 1-3 under Prescott. I'm sure they would have won the division (god I hope so given how historically bad it was) if he didn't get hurt but we aren't talking about a QB that single handedly wins games for his teams. He's good in that system with all that surrounding talent but he's eclipsed 4000 yards just once and if you look at his stats he's not even as accomplished as a guy like Kirk Cousins. He plays in Dallas so just like average Leafs players are put on a pedestal for the market they play in so is he because if he played in say Carolina I hardly think he's getting this contract. I'm not calling him a bad QB as I think he's a top 15 QB but contracts like this screw up everything for teams that have QB's like Prescott that aren't elite but will now expect elite money.

Don't be shocked if Gruden is all over him. Now that Witten has retired he's going to be looking for another 30+ year old veteran to overpay on offense.

Agreed, for a team like Dallas with a ton of holes especially on defence, this is not a great signing at those dollars. People also forget that in Daks last full season, he feasted on terrible teams and struggled against the good teams. they are lucky the division is that bad, n a good division they dont have a chance. If the Washington team gets decent QB play, with their young defense, they are better than Dallas.

Chiefs just cut their two starting tackles....and not the ones who started the Super Bowl. Maybe just have Mahomes take next year off so he doesn't die. Chiefs might be the first team ever to take nothing but OL in the draft.

Im not defending Prescotts deal, and while the bolded is true, it had nothing to do with Daks play....in fact it was in spite of it.
In the first 4 games last year, the Cowbys put up 126 pts on offense. That is 31.5 pts a game. On any normal team that translates to 4-0, or at worst 3-1.
The Cowboys early season defense was literally on pace to be the worst to ever play in the NFL.
Thats not on Dak or anyone on offense, that is crosshairs on the defense, the DC and McCarthy for allowing it to continue.

The Cowboys have one of the worst owners in the league, one of the worst GMs in the league, one of the worst coaches etc... Doesn't matter how much Dak gets paid, as long as Jerry is there nothing is going to change. Jimmy Johnson's legacy should be much greater than it is for what he accomplished with Jerry running the show.
