On his Instagram post, Backlund said he was born at 4:50am this morning.
Also, Kylington is a fan of the baby's name.

GOAT!

Can't remember which video/tweet/quote I saw/heard this in, but one of the players remarked about how when Darryl walks into a room, there is zero question as to who the boss is and therefore who you need to listen to.
Two things immediately struck me about that. One, it seemed to indicate that was lacking in their dressing room... and two... "yer Goddamn right."

Darryl said he looks forward most to managing a bench and the in-game things again. Said that's what he's good at.
I think that's what we look forward most also.

I can't even think that far in the future.

Can't have it both ways.
Finally, didn't realize criticizing a player's poor play is now smack talking. I'm far from the only one on here thinking he hasn't looked good this year.

Where did Darryl say he needs to get Backlund's attention?

I thought Ritchie was great in the "pre-season" and that big body, flying all over was critical for the team. Just like adding Sutter, having him on your line makes his linemates a couple inches taller and more confident. He has put up decent numbers, I'm a big fan of having him ride shotgun there for many reasons. He can also go after Drysaitl the next time he pulls that shyte on Jonny.

Chris Simon lite?
Perhaps he watched some older video of Ferland on that line -- I don't think Ritchie has the shot and finish the Ferland showed when that line was really rolling, but he's shown he can skate and throw the body, so it might just open up some room from 13 and 23. He had a nice setup for Ryan in the Ottawa game as well.

It would just be fantastic if he could be a great bottom 6 role player. A guy who can play top-six temporarily when they need a specific kind of compliment/energy on a line, but a guy who you love in the bottom six.
That's what success for Bennett looks like in my eyes at least.
|
Darryl should lock him in a room and make him watch all of Stephan Yelle’s shifts from 03-04.

Another '39 eligible would be Andersson's boy, assuming the baby is born in August!
