What the hell was that overtime all about? Both teams looked like it was their first ever time playing 3 on 3. No plan of attack, second guessing, passes to nobody..on both sides.

Bizarre

We will finally get definitive answers. I am encouraged about that.

It's a far, far better alternative to limping to a slow death with a rookie coach not ever knowing for sure.

I suppose I could be wrong, but I have a tough time seeing guys on the ice tomorrow in any official practice tomorrow.
And even if they did Sutter wouldn't be running practice.

Backlund was absolutely terrible tonight. Has been really bad - and seemingly effortless - for a while now

Markstrom, for the love of God, please stay in your net

Time to start fixing the mess.
Well, given the amount they DIDN'T work this game, the first practice(s) had better just be bag skates. Just to actually establish the work ethic required.

Oh...gee...there's a loose puck. I think...I'll.....float. Oh, darn...it didn't come to me. Oh well....

Atrocious hockey.

Had any of our forward pairs ever seen the ice together in OT before? Backlund/Tkachuk who've been trash all season? Guess why change what's totally broken.

Monahan and Dube connected on an OT goal last season so yes.

We need to find a way to unload that Backlund contract. Absolutely awful.

3 points back of the Habs while they have 3 games in hand.

...I still can’t understand why Tree hired Ward. Baffling, poor management.

I’m expecting Darryl and Brad will be having long talks about the make up of this roster.

I can’t imagine Darryl will tolerate much of that.

Tkachuk was wide open for a break away in OT but Backlund passed it back for some reason

This has to be one of the lowest I've seen the Flames fall to in a number of years. The give a #### meter seems to be registering negative.

I think I would have rather tanked under Ward and drafted high this year, and then bring in Sutter in the offseason.

This team needs a lot of work, and I am not overly optimistic this project can be retooled and fixed to even have a shot at the playoffs.

That play he made in overtime where he passed it back out of the zone instead of forward made me so furious.

People that look at this team and think that they don’t have the talent or size to play sutter hockey need to look at the 10-12 minutes in the 3rd. They’re more than capable of playing physical. I’ll pick on Bennett because I’ve pointed out others the past few days, but he was buzzing in the 3rd. Hitting everything. Strong on pucks. Making plays. The next shift after they tied it, he had two flybys behind the net, completely killed the forecheck. My 11 year old shouted. Haha. She saw it. Not picking on him specifically, but he’s a good example of where this team is mentally.

They’re more than capable. Sutter will fix it, but not sure if he’ll have enough time. Here’s hoping!

Tree needs Darryl’s help to identify who should and shouldn’t be here going forward it seems.
