How can this team be satisfied losing 75% of puck battles all year?

Eichel would want out of here as quickly as the trade was completed. Small market team, one of the lower desirable locations(just above Edmonton, Peg, Ottawa or Buffalo) in the league, a prospect pool which is limited and a roster than is lacking. Especially if we give up a lot of assets to get him. Don’t get me wrong, he would be a great player to have. However, I can’t see him being any happier in Calgary than he is in Buffalo.

I hope Sutter teach them when need to hard and when need to go extra hard. No need play too hard everytime, or any situation during the game. But when you smell blood and feel now to time they can chip a goal, or presure to opponent to get momentum for next shift then play extra hard.

They can't even do a new coach bump right.
One period of solid hockey is all that came of it. Actually pretty unbelievable tbh. Low confidence and no pulse on the team.
Thankfully we have the one guy most could trust in to turn a bad situation around swiftly.

Too many passengers and entitled players... Sutter must have made them miserable after the oilers loss because everyone is playing like they got told off. I read that Sutter can make losses unbearable so this is likely part of the process and they are feeling sorry for themselves. Team is going to get refined and molded!!

Two problems with trying to fix this team is they have no time between games to work on their issues and with respect to trades, what GM would be dumb enough to give anyone of quality for our trash stars.

Sutter needs to teach these guys to get their asses off the boards and take the puck to the middle of the ice. This crap of playing along the boards is brutal. Generates no chances and is boring as crap.

When you’ve been hit hard and are going down you have to be in control of your stick? Absurd.

They haven’t played a full 60 in a single game of those 19 so they should have tons left in the tank

Brutal game. How many odd man rushes have they given up so far???
Why is Lindholm still at center?
A pp goal could have come in handy....

I agree. I just think you can do that with a benching as opposed to a healthy scratch. At the end of the day he is still a really good player. I don’t think removing that option completely is a good move.
You play him, but you send a message by benching him if he plays poorly too.

If you are the opposing GM you probably don't give up a lot for the Flames players based on recent performance but there is considerable upside potential in some of our assets that are just stuck in a crappy system and environment.

Ottawa has won almost every puck battle, and cleanly.
