Why is our PP such garbage?
I feel like we haven’t had a great PP unit since Suter and Macinnis were manning the points.

Stuck at work right now, so unable to watch. Judging by this thread it sounds like a typical crappy first period from the Flames. Hopefully they’ll figure it out by the 2nd.

Back in the day when it was normal to have 2 defencemen manning the points on the powerplay.

I mean I think we can all agree that if Benny wasn’t here this year thachuk and Mony would be taking a hell of a lot more heat.
Every team has a folk hero and a whipping boy.
On most teams it isn’t the same guy, for a lot of flames fans it is

It's definitely different when it's a guy the team drafted, plenty of people will over-rate their prospects even well into their careers. We saw it with Baertschi as well
Always makes for a much more heated discussion on CP when they come up vs a regular whipping boy like Mason Raymond

Backlund has been horrible as well as TKachuk. Gaudreau is the only forward that has been consistent offensively. The team still isn't playing well and hopefully Darryl can turn them around before it's too late. I'm not getting a good feeling about this game so far as it feels like the Senators could steal this one.

You mean you won’t criticize a player on a play he actually screws up on but instead would rather spend time making up reasons?
