Just caught the Sutter HNIC interview. Says Sam Bennett is at the top of his list to work with. Because Ron McLean asked him what he is going to do with Sam.

Also intimated the Flames players aren't pulling in the same direction. Says some players think they can play one way while others have to play harder. once he sorts that out it should be pretty easy to get this team rolling.

Also, in the same interview, Ron asked how Sutter might tap into Bennett and Sutter mentioned that Sam was on the top of his list of people to talk to once he's in town. Thinks that Bennett can be a good player on this team.

Lets be honest at the end of next year Gaudreau was already on track to sign a large contract. Sutter is gonna make that contract quite a bit larger. Why?

Because he’s going to make Gaudreau mentally tough- and it’s the one part of his game that’s severely lacking.

Sutter is going to do with Gaudreau what he did with Iginla- make a great player phenomenal. Gaudreau should be nervous but not forget that what he’s gonna learn here is going to carry with him the rest of his career (and life, actually). Is this team built around Bennett? Kinda sick of him getting special attention when he should’ve been traded long ago. This is why the Flames keeps being mediocre because they keep focus on one mediocre player.

This team is not built around Bennett, not is he even considered a core piece, yet Bennett remains the leading playoff event strength scorer for the Flames since 2015, and second overall in playoff scoring behind only Monahan.
