BTW do you "meme" children also "tweet"? 280 characters is about the high end speed for the memer set here.
Anyhow gotta go to work and visit some serious websites.

Tommy Gorman (Chicago x1, Montreal Maroons x1)
I always remember that bit of historical trivia because Gorman won those two Cups in consecutive years. He ragequit the Hawks after their Cup win, basically because the owner was being a jerk. Then he went straight to the Maroons, got the coach/GM job, and won the Cup the very next season as a big F.U. to his former team.
Gorman also won Cups as GM of the Ottawa Senators and Montreal Canadiens. He was truly one of a kind.

I have always suspected that Boring Sean Monahan was in fact, Sean. But there is NO WAY he would send that tweet out.

TBH when I look up things like that I don’t normally bother going back past WW2.
IMO Stanley cup facts before the Flyers won in ‘74 are just a different lot than after that. There’s probably another line or two to draw since then, too

I look at this differently. With any sport the weaker part of technique needs to be worked on during season in between games or competitions, as the athletes will see the greatest returns and be able to apply it.
Using on ice sport examples. Whether hockey, figure or speed skating.... the fine tuning and improving should be done during non game days so areas for improvement can be actively viewed and adjusted with recommendations by an athlete’s coach.
no I am not comparing any Flame to Jagr. I just really admire his work ethic!
See Jagr and adding weights during practice. Yes the video is in Czech. You can select English captions.

Only my 2 cents but if skating is what Matthew Tkachuk needs most improvement then this should be his focus after regular practice... not the through the leg tricks.
This being said maybe Matthew Tkachuk is already doing these things.

Yeah, he was probably the most sought after head coaching free agent this off season.

I think it's someone on this board. I criticized that account before and got chewed out for it. A couple of people seemed to take it personally.
I seem to recall someone mention that Monahan was annoyed by the parody account as well.

Fair enough, and I figured that's what you meant. But I think Gorman's back-to-back Cups with different teams are just a cool story. And the fact that he was the only one before WWII just underlines how rare it is for a coach to win championships with multiple teams.

All these people questioning Gaudreau and how he will respond to Sutter coaching style.
Lets be honest at the end of next year Gaudreau was already on track to sign a large contract. Sutter is gonna make that contract quite a bit larger. Why?
Because he’s going to make Gaudreau mentally tough- and it’s the one part of his game that’s severely lacking.
Sutter is going to do with Gaudreau what he did with Iginla- make a great player phenomenal. Gaudreau should be nervous but not forget that what he’s gonna learn here is going to carry with him the rest of his career (and life, actually). This is a blessing in disguise for guys like Gaudreau who get so down on themselves when things don’t go their way.
