Can the flames have Sutter on a video call between periods to talk the players during the intermission?

I'm not counting on much tonight and Sunday. I dont think we will see much gusto in fact until Daryll gets them on the ice face to face .
Prove me wrong Flames. But the problem is consistency and you just had a big W. Let's see if you can carry on the effort on a nightly basis.

I won’t make a stink about it but I think Kylington should stay in.
This is a guy you spent years developing. Give him a chance to get into a rhythm and routine.
The puck bounced over his stick at the line. It was unlucky and he hustled back.

I agree they need to give Kylington a long leash, but things are pretty dire right now. This is a must win game and they just need steady.
Kylington has all world talent but he lacks poise. That wasn't the first time something like that happened to him, it happens quite regularly. I think if you had a pretty big cushion, you could afford to let him make his mistakes and learn but the Flames just have never have had that luxury since he's been here, well maybe Peters first year, but we know what happened when that team let off the gas, they never got back to their game.
If I'm Seattle, I take him and give him that leash, they could get a top 4 defenseman out of him.

Everything he says or does has a purpose. He knows McDavid is in the Flames players' heads.

I still think Huska etc are going to coach garbage Ward hockey tonight, so I’m not overly optimistic. Nesterov has made a lot of mistakes this season, but for whatever reason has a longer leash.
I really hope they come out flying tonight. What they brought against the Sens is not close to being good enough tonight.

Well it’s not going to flip into new system overnight. That said I can easily bet Sutter has told Huska what he wants to see and how the lines should be used. Huska does not have carte blanche

I agree I'm a fan of Kylington's game and I'd like to see him have a more prominent share of that final spot.

Interesting to see Bennett still be left eating popcorn. Don't care either way, he truly really deserve nothing better, but thought they might want him in tonight vs Edmonton.

Though I think one of the Sutter brothers have been a scout up there still, it is very very telling that a highly respected, straight shooting, honest, old school hockey family has never played for, or coached, the Oilers.
The 6 brothers, together, have played for, or coached, on over half the organizations in the NHL, but never the Oilers.
Sure, there are other organizations that one of them haven’t played and coached for, but those organizations also aren’t 90 minute drives from their family home. Brent, Darryl and Brian all mentioned about how great it was to be near home when coaching the Flames; Edmonton would be 2h closer still then Calgary.
Such an honest hard working group, who have worked for and earned thier Stanley cup and overall success the right way, with the strong values they possess, could not reconcile working for and playing for a second class sleazy organization run by ego and hubris, on and off the ice; Pocklington and Sather through the 80s and early 90s, continued on by Lowe since the mid 90s.
So I truly think it’s not just a coincidence that Darryl doesn’t mention the Oilers, he truly does not like the organization and those involved in it, and I think the other brothers have had the same thoughts over the years.

Just Connor. Leon had an assist last game but your point still stands. It concerns me too.

During sutters presser he said he wouldn’t change the lineup from last game because they did a good job and deserved to play again. Guess Kylington was the exception. Sounds like they are going to keep lindholm at center. Bennett isn’t taking any centers out of game action. They need to trade him and add something to get a Rw.

Until Sutter gets in and has a sit down with the lad, he doesn’t really deserve to be in the lineup. I think he’ll be a good player for the team once Darryl defines a role for him, but Ritchie had a really solid game against Ottawa and Nordstrom will be needed on the PK tonight.

This is the defeatist attitude of the past regime, and is no longer tolerated.

This is what I am most intrigued about for tonight.
No time for new game plans, or strategies of any kind. Just go out and play, and let's see who wants to be part of the solution.
