Plus I don't think anyone is going to lose points with Darryl for asking a hard question directly, he's not really one to beat around the bush.

"Did you do it?" was a good question? There's a dozen ways to address that without sounding like an idiot. You can layout the way the league and coaching in general have changed and how do you handle certain scenarios that may have happened in the past with players like Carcillo now? Tough, in your face coaching has kind of been left to the wayside, you being known as that style of coach how do you adjust blah blah blah. Dozens of ways to phrase it and maybe even get a better answer.
No coach is answering and no respectable reporter is saying, you've been accused of kicking a player. Did you do it? It was summarily dismissed as it should have been. Are there lawsuits? Any potential for legal action around this?
All BS aside I am happy that Sutter is back. I wanted him when they hired Peters so better late then never I guess. I liked everything he had to say about how to play, making connections with players and getting them into the right mindset. This team doesn't understand what it takes to win, the commitment, the price, the buy in. I think they are about to find out.

My favourite Flames regular season was 2005-06 when we won the Pacific playing a hard, grinding, defensive style. Kipper stood tall. It was great fundamental hockey and owned the division. If we can even get back to a semblance of that style I will be a happy fan.

Exactly, the tone was the issue. By all means ask the question, but the accusatory tone was cringey and someone just looking for something scandalous.
If there was anything to the allegations, more players would have confirmed.

Wow, 7 minutes of pure commercials before the tree interview on the fan960....
Just get on with it already!!
Edit finally.
Notes:
- same thing as presser, you take your cues from the team. It was a move that needed to be made.
- professional platitudes for Geoff
- over the past ten days he knew he had to make a change. 4 days ago he got on the horn with Sutter.
- Darylls the right fit for this group because he is one of the sharpest cagiest hockey minds.
- Flames need to clean up their "death by a thousand cuts" in play.
-Accountability was lacking for players, Sutter does that better than anyone, holding players accountable.
- Sutters really good at communicating clearly his players roles, build relationships.
- ooof, he really tapered off on how the players need to be held accountable....and I quote "or whatever"
- Flames have no B game, it's all A game or nothing. You can't have that.
- individual performances are a big problem. If you break it down on an individual basis we have a lot of players playing far below personal expectations.
- saying we have enough talent sounds hollow if they don't perform.
-actions creates consequences , and that's what this change is, a consequence to their actions.
- Not worried about Daryll coaching "today's game". He's smart af and evolves.

That was the year I graduated high school. So pumped to see hockey again after the lockout. While the playoffs didn't end the way I had hoped, the regular season was entertaining as a hardnosed team that didn't take #### from anyone (pretty sure we led the league in fights). As my all-time favorite player, Kipper winning the Vezina was really special.

Someone needs to ask how much involvement Darryl will have over the weekend.

We did hear that he has already zoomed with the players, so I am personally sure he has input with the coaches starting now
(Don’t know it for a fact, of course, but believe it)
It’d be a good question

Practice #1: We are taking a bus to Edmonton instead of a plane and we will be stopping in Viking so you guys can shovel some ####, throw some hay bales, and see what real work feels like.

He's going to be remotely logged in and yelling in Huska's earpiece.

Because Darryl still has to isolate, he will spend the entire time standing in the window scowling.
