It took until 2pm (Atlantic time) and ive finally gotten through this whole thread.....good thing my boss is distracted today.
I am beyond excited for this....probably why I ran out of likes 45 pages ago.
Its been said over and over already but this is going to be great for this core to have a real coach and see what their made of.
The nostalgia is going to hit hard Tuesday night when Sutters cranky face is behind our bench again!!!

It's funny. I am older now that he was when he started with us the first time, and that seems wrong to me...

I blame Sutter for putting "quite honestly" into my roster of phrases.

I am actually interested to see how Lindholm performs under Sutter. Lindholm, to me, seems like he will thrive. He is a highly talented, defensively responsible player who plays a heavy game... I think he'll be a player Sutter loves.

Sutter discussing the similarities between the '11-'12 Kings and the Flames right now gives me a lot of confidence that he's doing his homework to get our core players to compete at their best.
Gulutzan and Ward were maybe too soft on this team.
Peters and Hartley were hard-nosed like Sutter is and I think they need that kick in the ass to work hard as a team. Hartley got us to the 2nd round and Peters coached the Flames to the top of the Western Conference.

His tone was totally abrasive and unprofessional but Darryl handled it well by not giving much
“These questions need to be asked” - from a bunch of reporters trying to paint a nazi robe wearing guy who calls his teammates the N word on a daily basis as a good guy because he gives insincere apologies in between attacking people he personally dislikes

I believe this is all part of the reverse retro initiative. So this time the reverse of our cup win getting screwed over by ####ty refs/cameras will be us finally getting credit for our win when Darryl gets this ship sailing and puts us to the finals

Long story short but Carcillo has been credibly accused of some terrible white supremacy stuff that he wasn’t remotely transparent about even after he had claimed to be “changed”
And the “we need to dig into the truth” media crowd spent a total of zero seconds digging into those truths

I also think that the relationship between DS and the referees will benefit us as well. I just think there wont be as many Wideman calls, and if there are, that DS will actively question them instead of being passive. He'll speak in the media, and he'll create that us VS the world mentality.
He'll take a lot of the pressure off this team.
