You drop pass...you get benched.

You make a good pass and the receiver messes up...benched.

You forecheck lazily...benched.

You forecheck too aggressively and receive penalty...benched.

We'll soon have the best players!

TSN says Sutter will be behind the bench tomorrow.

Sutter, who last coached the Los Angeles Kings in 2017, will debut behind the bench for his second stint with the Flames on Saturday against the Oilers.

The testing requirement could have been why he was only announced last night. I'm wondering if an agreement was in place for a week or so and, for continuity purposes, the team kept Ward in place until Sutter had passed the requirements. It sounds like ####ty way to do things but it might have been better than having an interim coach for a week.

Yeah perhaps but you would think if he is good to go, he would at the very least be meeting with the club and running practice (if they have one today).

Also its usually two players side by side after games at the rink after games.

Either way now or Monday....welcome to a new world for the boys. They 100% earned it.

Darryl coached LA for five and a half years - they won 40+ games (or were on pace to win 40 games) in all but his last year, when they won 39.

Just win.

Darryl succeeds because he doesn’t try to keep his job, he just does it the best way he knows how until they tell him to stop.

You could even say Kopitar from the Kings. Obviously, Kopitar is a dominant 200' player and a big dude but he dominates mainly with skill and finesse rather than physicality. From the blueline in, coaching these two players would be very similar IMO

Just tying to catch up, can anyone tell me if the contract is this year, plus two more, or is it 3 full years after this one?

I love Daryl, but prefer the former.

Looking back at it, I think Juice was the single most skilled player Iggy played with outside of Theo.

Cammalleri had finish, Tanguay had vision, Jokinen was also there, but Huselius used to just go for 30 second skates around the offensive zone stickhandling while he figured out what he wanted to do.

960 says otherwise. I feel like the local station would have the inside track there.

But if he's been in Alberta he shouldn't have to quarantine

I understand a three-year deal to include this season.

Lebrun works for TSN. He also broke this like several other Flames moves. So, maybe Sutter does coach tomorrow.

You're in luck then. It's this then two more.

IMO perfect length for Sutter to do his best work.
