A) We finally get a coach that has a better track member than the previous coaches after him.
B) Time to see how the core responds. We’ve seen them do it before. Sutter demands respect out of the locker room, and anyone that does NOT buy in will have to either adjust quickly and on the fly or gtfo.

People are motivated by positive energy and /or negative energy. A successful coach has to
be confident and comfortable using either at the appropriate time.
Very few can discern the right timing , as well as motivational and subsequent performance impact .
Darryl is the grand master of these things.
Time for the meek and mild hearted to make a decision.
Stand up, sit down or get out of the way.

How does this actually play out? Darryl will have to quarantine for 2 weeks, who's driving the ship in the meantime?

I've seen this team dominate games in 2019 to a top finish.
I've seen them stifle "heavy" opponents in low scoring, grinding games like that 3-2 win vs the Jets.
If Darryl can extract those Flames teams for more nights than not and help eliminate the mental fragility that's been plaguing them for much of this rebuild then we'll be in for good things.
Darryl is that one coach you only need to "get in" to have a shot with. And the one guy in recent memory that coached a team out of a 0-3 hole to win a series. Pretty exciting.
