I am absolutely pumped. I stopped watching the Flames because I was tired of the garbage ‘system’ the flames were playing and lack of effort.
Now the games will go back on TV.

So, I haven’t been reading the FOI part of the site lately, their play has driven me to apathy. I did watch the game last night, but didn’t even bother to check in here. Then this morning I woke up, accidentally hit the bookmark for FOI, and couldn’t process the thread title. First thinking it was some stupid posters prank post, then trying to figure out if it was April 1st, then checking the date in the OP to see if it was from 2002.
Crazy, but this has fixed the complete apathy I’ve been feeling towards this team the last few weeks.

My gym reopened yesterday and I went hard. I fell asleep in my chair during the second intermission and went to bed figuring I'd watch the third today.
I woke up to Boomer announcing the hire.
It's a great way to wake up

I am most excited about accountability and knowing that players are going to be held accountable if they play like crap.
Guys like Gaudreau, Monahan, Backlund, Giordano, Tkachuk, Lindholm - better be ready for this.
All this being said, I am shocked Treliving has lasted long enough to fire and hire ANOTHER coach.

I thought Darryl was a pipe dream. I thought no one would get him back off the farm.
I guess old ties paid off, will be interested to see how this all unfolded behind the scenes.
I didn't think Brad had it in him to give this team exactly the medicine it needed.
And it sounds like he's actively seeking a RW still too.
