I legit thought that was the end of the game, not just the 2nd intermission.

I guess I'm just not used to the Flames having played 2 decent periods to this point.

As has been the case for the last four seasons - when the team plays well, Rittich usually plays well enough to win with the occasional off night that all goalies have.

When the team plays poorly, no goalie, not even Markstrom, is going to post a great save percentage. I doubt Markstrom has the best SV% this season

It's never been an issue with Ritter in the 1st half of the season. It's relying on him any deeper than that. He doesn't have an NHL gas tank.

Good lord.

He has been injured twice around stretch time

It’s been in the news

Ottawa is asleep at the wheel too. Just glad to see some jump and not so scramble headed play from the Flames.

Really all I want like most fans is an honest effort every night. Not all this of what we have seen so far stuff.

I’ve been more watching quickly and speeding through breaks but the Sens have been losing this game more than the Flames have been winning it. Awful tending and really sloppy play by the Sens combined a great Rittich performance and this game is a blowout instead of a tight one.

I will say though that the Flames have been doing a great job getting to the front of the net with dangerous shots. They’re doing it far more frequently than they usually do.

Corey Sarich should have a second career as an analyst. He’s awesome.

Troy can still F-off.

Not entirely sure what your last sentence means but the rest of it I agree.

Just try hard. Not a lot to ask to be honest if you’re being paid millions of dollars to skate around.

They must have been coached to play hard tonight.

Not really I was thinking what he just said was pretty dumb. I have no idea why things are going well.

Really? It’s pretty obvious when you compare this game to the last one. Like, painfully obvious.

Brouwer is a good dude. He just crashed hard in his abilities right when he got here.

Yes, but in fairness, Ottawa's defense has been HORRIFIC.

They just showed another angle of the breakout on the first goal, and all 5 Sens were along the boards, leaving the middle of the ice wide open for Ryan and Ritchie.

And we all saw the D back in on the Monahan and Dube goals. And disappear again on the Leivo goal.

Their team defense hasn't been bad, it's been atrocious

I dunno it kinda hurts to still have Brouwer on the cap while he's in the broadcast booth

Well yeah, they were on the boards because that's where the Flames always are and we surprised them by carrying the puck through the centre of the ice.
