Why do the Flames always play so conservatively when they're trailing? It seems like their plan is to try and avoid falling into a deeper hole.

Flub by BSD just masks the fact that we are playing like garbage.

Are they playing to get the coach and GM fired? If so, I fully support this initiative.

Great save. Thought for sure that was 4-1.
Desperation level is still hovering right around 0%.

He just doesn't stay in his lane and keep it simple. Mike Smith has inspired him to probably do more than he should at times.

The Flames have completely folded in the second.
I mean, absolutely not in the least bit surprising at all, but can't help but continually feel like a fool as a fan for maybe, just maaaaybe thinking they were going to turn it around and show some consistency

But with things as is under Ward, our baseline is just plain bad.

Every few games we show up for a game or two, otherwise the group is quite poor this year.

This series tells you a lot, even if Ottawa has been playing better of late. At the very least they should be playing them evenly on a bad day if they're a good team.

I don't think our effort/execution varies very much game to game. The randomness of the sport, and goaltending have been the only things that vary night to night. Flames generally come out, play "hard" and dumb, skate around the perimeter a whole bunch and accomplish nothing - just like they did under Gulutzan. Sometimes Rittich/Markstrom look amazing, and we gather some points. Sometimes the opposition's goalie falls on their face.

...the whole season just sucks.

So anyone who knows me is aware that I'm not the most reactionary poster, but I just tuned in after Lucic scored, and for a snapshot view the Flames are playing comically bad.Like a complete comedy of errors.

I can't see how Ward survives this roadie if they lose this one.

3-1 and Monahan is looking to make fancy plays when he has the puck in the slot.
 My goodness.
