I didnt even know you could smoke herion...shows what I know. But from what I have read on websites it sounds like Opium could be a possibilty.....I dont know anything about that drug but it sounds bad.

My great-grandfather was an opium addict. He also had eight wives...but anyway. Crack should make him much more active and hyper. What you described does sound like opium or something that would depress his system.

Opium? Really? It seems so old-fashioned, like it would be delivered by rickshaw, and the dealer would have a fu manchu beard.

I worked at a gas station when I was 16 and a guy came in asking to use the washroom but it was in use. He told me he was diabetic and needed to inject some insuline. He was older and well dressed and this was Mckenzie Lake so I let him use our bathroom. He was in there for like half an hour. I finished up with some customers and went in the bathroom to see what the **** was going on. There was a smell of burnt something that made me feel ill right away but I almost couldn't help wanting to smell it. Have no idea what it was but sounds very similar to what you are decribing.

why don't you just go ask him for some of his sweet dope, smoke it, and find out what it is.

Why don't you just ask him, "Dude, what are you on?" And if he doesn't tell you threaten him.

Threaten a suspected addict?
I'm assuming you've never been attacked with a crackpipe.

No, that is a safe assumption. But if you threaten to expose his addiction or something like that (ie get the police involved, or the landlord), he might say what it is he's on.

I'm new here, but it seems to me that it really shouldn't matter to you what he's smoking. The fact is, he's doing drugs, and a lot of them. If you don't want to find yourself roaming the pon shops for your missing sticker collection, then I would just lock up your stuff and hope nothing crazy happens before you get out of there.

Have you considered he could be smokin oil(weed oil) it can have a smell like that. And i doubt its crack or opium because unless you come downstairs everytime he just took a hit then you prob wouldnt be able to smell it.

I don't think the risk/reward ratio makes your suggestion a likely outcome here ... to be honest I actually thought your initial suggestion was a joke and I kind of still do ...

Just ask him, don''t threaten him or anything. Tell him you really don't care what he's doing but you're just wondering what that smell is. Seriously, I don't think its any drug like crack, meth, etc... because he would be doing it a lot more than once a week.

oil is really just a form of hash... yeah definately a possibility. I dont think you should be concerned if it is a drug like hash or opium. Both are fairly light and have no more real effect than smoking a joint. AFter all this is Canada, pretty much everyone smokes weed. Especially people who rent random rooms.
Crack and Heroin are a different story all together. I lived w/ a cokehead once...not so much fun.
