Lee Mason shouldn't referee another Premier League match. Everyone makes mistakes but that was totally inexcusable. He's clearly not fit enough to run for ninety minutes and misses things all over the place. He's already been given breaks several times this season, and if I remember correctly, he was the VAR who sent Soucek off a few weeks ago.
Poor Brighton. I think they are the unluckiest team in the EPL. They are actually enjoyable to watch and give everyone a good game. Hope they can stay up.
Brighton dropping would be a travesty. They are a pretty solid team with great management.
I am hoping Brentford can finally make a push to the EPL this season. They have a great development group, new stadium, and a solid base.
Still haven't fully figured out what Lee Mason was up to against Brighton yesterday?
Brighton player asks him is it ok to take a quick free kicK. He says yes. And blows to restart play.
So what was the second whistle for and what was he checking VAR for?
Fair to say that he's done. He's already been stood down this season over his VAR red cards with Dean to Bednarek and Soucek.
Just heard he's been stood again as the fourth official for Sheff U/Liverpool game.
Ole knows he had three subs right? Bruno and Rashford look absolutely gassed most of the second half and he only subs Greenwood off. Utterly dreadful match outside of a 10 minute stretch.

in isolation, it's not a bad result for United ... especially since Leicester and West Ham lost. But I'm getting pretty tired of those 0-0 games against big six clubs. That's their fifth goalless draw this season against those clubs (twice against Chelsea, once against Liverpool, City and Arsenal).
^ Another disgusting German attempt at humour. Adding to the reputation ...
Anyways ... Suppose I'll join in all the talk there is here about the penalty that was never given. I mean just because it happened against Utd we're still allowed to talk about it, yes?
VAR official was spot on and did all he could. Alerted the ref to a handball in the area which the ref looked at on the monitor, whilst allowing Chelsea players to shout down his ear and then proceeded to bottle despite:
Hand above shoulder? Tick
Hand to ball? Tick
Definite contact between hand and ball? Tick

I thought your rule was that if the opposing team doesn’t ask for the foul then it isn’t a foul?
But yes, Hudson-Odoi is extremely lucky, we’ve seen handballs given for way less.
Nice try but no.
When I've been arguing against posters like Slava it's that firstly I don't feel they are anywhere near right and secondly they seem to be the only person on the planet that feels l that way. No match reports, interviews, nothing make mention of what he alone seems to see.
The difference is here this is a major post match talking point in the press and radio (5 live) with agreement that as per the rules that's a penalty. Ex refs chiming in saying the same, ie that it is a penalty eg Dermot Gallaher on DAZN.
It was the main taking point of the match but then again there was nothing else to talk about.
