Serious question....would you want to coach this outfit with the GM still intimating the "answer is in the room"?

At present moment, I would take Gallant, Boudreau, D. Sutter or even Julien.
This is how you answer a question without a further barrage of questions.

The reason you can't answer mine is because you don't know what Ward is doing well with this team, because its not a lot.

And again....literally no one on the board is saying the players have been good enough.

The Ward supporters will also talk about how he’s the 4th coach that’s failed with this roster.

Ignoring that he actually has them playing worse than any of the three previous coaches (Gulutzan included) and he’s actually getting by far the best goaltending of the group of coaches and still can’t win.

Players aren’t off the hook and they shoulder the blame too. But it’s clear that this coach is the worst coach we’ve had in years and is in way over his head as well.

Not a lot of people who want to coach turn down NHL head coaching jobs. If the Flames can't attract an experienced coach that's an even deeper organizational problem.

I don't think anyone is supporting Ward. Not many at least. He wasn't a very popular hire right from the get go. I just think many see other problems bigger than Ward. I think most would have no problem if he was let go. I just doubt it's gonna happen anytime soon.

I don’t know a single “Ward supporter” on this board. You are mistaking people who say a new/better coach won’t move the needle much, and also the times when people disagree with a particular criticism because they think it’s incorrect.

Well at this stage the roster will be heading to coach #5. If I'm Gallant I'm waiting for the right team, not this one.
Maybe if I'm Bodreau and seeing the end of my coaching career closing in - I take a crack at this sad sack group.
