This is why I think Ward has to get fired after this game tonight. Will it solve everything? Good grief, absolutely not - but this team's culture is being poisoned by the current make-up, and it was already not in a very competitive place.

This time has NO fight in them. It's gone. I've never seen the team play this bad while also being this emotionless before.

We ridiculed the Oilers' losing culture for a long time, but this is what is being established in Calgary right before our eyes. This is losing culture taking hold and choking the last few breaths out of an already decaying corpse.

The Flames have scored 5 games in a game twice all season.

They aren’t a decent team. They are a team with a few skilled but flawed players up front, a decent D which is one good man down because of Gio, and great goaltending when he’s healthy.
