Yeah, while getting out played, out shot, out chanced and out classed.

Talk about lowered expectations.

I'm glad they got the points, but good lord this team is just really pathetic. There is just no chance IMO that they could realistically contend for a cup the way they are built/coached.
Agreed.

I'm pretty numb to it all. Yes I was excited for the Bread goal, but I know what to expect with this team so I wasn't counting my chickens at that point. And was exactly right not to. It's sad that I felt that last minute squandering coming from a mile away. That should not be normal, yet is.

I'm at the point where I look at how they come through at the most important times in a game more so than the moral victories based on what amount of points were collected in a specific time window or opponent that may allow us to live with ourselves for another day.

The day I'll be excited and invested on a core level is the day when the Flames step up at that 11th hour, show guts and courage, and sink the dagger on a good team, without the help of ten bell desperation saves from their goalie.

Brad can't rationalize signing Markstrom and then blowing it up. Gunna be 5 years I think.

Did anyone else see that coming? Only the flames could lose a game in less then 3 minutes.

Reminiscent of the game that broke the camels back against Dallas when we should have been up 3-1 in the series.

If you think they aren't good enough to win a Stanley Cup, fine, that could very well be the case. But zone entry should not be this big of a weakness for these players, and it wasn't before this head coach took over.
Different lines that year and last year. Now we need to try to give ourselves two scoring lines by having Lindholm as a center

It was by every standard shown this year by challenges. You challenge that every day of the week.

This might be the worst team I have ever seen when the other team has an empty net. I remember people crying that Iginla was no good because they thought he scored 10 empty net goals a year.

I want a player who can get the puck and score into an empty net badly.

If I'm not mistaken that feels like that was the second empty net opportunity we blew this year...I believe Bennett was guilty on the other offense. Both games we ended up losing....

They just aren’t executing, is what I’m saying. I don’t know why. But “systems” isn’t the answer for tonight when they were doing what posters have been calling for.

Systems didn’t make them miss 3 or 4 two on one passes. Or get intercepted on 5 stretch passes.

The Dallas series was the same thing with the old lines. Game 2 on was just chip out and defend all game long.

They need to be way more selfish. Chucky probably should have shot it tonight. Lindy was being nice last game and gave it to Bennett who completely botched it.

Forget spreading around points, if you have a shot, take it.

Oh, I know they aren’t catching them at their worst. But the fact remains they need to beat them over and over to stay even.

You are mistaken. Bennett missed on the empty net last game, where we won 3-0.

They need to start designing plays for those empty netters. They also need to start clearing people out of the crease, knock them down whatever, but don't let them stand there whacking at the pucks. Flames need to learn from this and stop pissing away wins

The fact is there’s zero margin for error for this team. Not enough talent to get by without near perfect execution.

Lindholm had a near impossible angle to shot from. Not sure what else he could have done except for holding on to the puck and running more time off the clock.
