What is our championship called?
I legitimately have no idea. It's not the Stanley Cup... so what is it?
I for one propose the "Scorpion Memorial Trophy."

You do realize that for it to be named that, you would have to die.

Well he kills his teams chances to win every season so that must count for something!

I would suggest the King Cup if we are looking to name it. But I don't know if it's already named.

This is a pretty good idea.
I would call it "The Kinger".
Or if we want to be more office simply the Ken King CPHL Championship.
Shaped in the form of a huge hand about to grip you for the firmest handshake in the world.
Edit. This?

Nice try Scorpion. You are going to have to earn the right to have your name on the trophy.

Nope.
If it's to honor Ken King then an Alberta Flag on one side, and the Canadian Flag on the other side.

I approve of a Memorial trophy. The only three that I can think of are King, Corral or Scorch. Depends on how irreverent you want it to be.

I thought it was the Cheevers Cup, he was so dominant that we had to create a rule to slow him down
All joking aside, King did nothing for the league. If ever seriously a cup was named after someone then at least make it someone that would be honoured by it.

I'm cool with calling it the Peterson Cup although it makes it kind of funny/awkward that I lost to Peterson for the Peterson Cup in 2018.

I agree with awkward, and I’m saying it as I know they would never do it. But I’m underlining the fact that this league has, and has had, some amazing people and a long history to draw from.

Maybe our championship trophy can be a ‘Bingo’ dabber.

So far, Scorch Memorial is the winner for me, simply because naming it after a real person brings an element of seriousness to the game, and potential social politics that we don't really need.
