Do you think the team is playing well? If you agree they aren't playing well then why not try something that has worked in the past? If something isn't working and you are too stubborn to try something else, something that has worked in the past, then I think you are being irrational.

I believe this team is better with Tkachuk and Lindholm apart. They definitely are not playing well with them together. A good coach will explore all his options to make his team better. Not simply rotate AHL players along the wings and hope one sticks.

Saturday night was our 9-1 Penguins loss from a couple years ago. From here we will go on a run for the rest of the season and finish 2nd in the division.

And then we will lose in the first round

I think Dube has great potential and will be in the top 6 BUT to me he has looked the most consistently effective with Backlund - Lucic or Bennett - Lucic and against those match ups and playing that style.

I think when he gets good touches on PP2 (that means they get more than 12 secs on a PP) his confidence in game grows (as does Mangiapane's) and that's when he see those top line flashes.

I want to see less blender and some cohesion (guys reading off each other) and playing fast.

Stay out of the box. Our PK is terrible.

Try to have more shots than they have goals.

I don’t mind less blender, I just think Dube is the best fit. He looks fine with Backlund or Bennett - that’s very true. I don’t even recall him getting a shot with Monahan though. It may be that, as basically a sophomore, they don’t want to put him up there so quickly.

Kylington = new savior. Book it! Jamie Lundmark 2.0

Over / under Bennett gets a penalty?

CGY needs to play the guys who can play fast - the line construction and the execution. That also means defending fast and executing breakouts fast. Head up, hit the guy on the tape with speed who has support to keep it going.

Within the first 7 minutes. Holding or Interference....I'm going Holding tonight.

Made it pretty far in Dead Cells on my switch during the last game, hopefully get a little further tonight.

To me, passing is the key to Flames doing well or not. When they pass well, they break out well and have sustained offensive pressure. One small thing they get is that Toronto’s ice is better than Calgary’s (or Vancouver’s).

I'm too stubborn to quit on the Flames even though recently it looks like they have quit themselves. How much more rock bottom do we have to get for meaningful changes?

12-0 Leafs a good indication that this team is broken?

The Flames have not opened the scoring in a hockey game since 11 February, and have done so a total of only six times this season. That has to change.

Totally agree. I think it must be perceived that Dube is too weak defensively, hence some of his recent benchings? Though I don't see Bennett excelling defensively either so who knows.

Which one would be which, though? I guarantee that one of us would be giving pats on the back while the other would be using a cattle prod for motivation.

100%. I do agree with DeluxeMoustache and his points about weak side d being available to jump into space to start the breakout and get the team on schedule.

I recall your comments about Hamonic and how good he was with passes into the middle in 18-19. I agree with that too. Use the entire width of the ice for breakout options. Put it on the tape and use the middle when possible. When CGY D are passing well moving it quickly the flow and timing is there.

The defensemen are the engine and we've seen them play well and pass well.

Bold prediction:

Bennett takes penalty in first period, relegated to 4th line and Leivo gets put to play with Johnny and Mony for the rest of the game.

Kylington makes a bad play in the first period, relegated to the bench and Ward rotates the 5 remaining Dmen for the rest of the game.
