No one probably wants to hear from me tonight. But tkachuk cheering on Bennett during that fight should speak volumes. There’s been lots of rumblings around the top 2 players in Calgary. Perhaps it’s time to move on.

The other thing is, beyond Ward not being able to adapt to how other teams play us, he makes absolutely zero effort to attack the other team's weakness.


The Oilers have a putrid D. So maybe we should be more aggressive in the forcheck as a means of generating offense. Oh god no. That's not THE PLAN.

Ward not capable to adapt to anything. When team traps he has no clue how to break the trap.

It was a stupid play and i'm sure Backlund knows it. All players are guilty of this but I don't see a connection to the mentality of this team. He was trying to help this team win a game.
