Hope we steer clear just because we don't have room. But this feels like the type of pickup for someone that will pay off right away. The Ducks are terrible, he'll do far better anywhere else.

He squared off against Iggy, so he'll always have my respect for that.

The winner of the Henrique/Vatanen trade is nobody.

If he clears what about Ducks retain a portion of his salary(say $2.5M) and the Flames send Bennett and Kylington.
Ducks like Bennett and probably only team with interest.

No to any form of him coming here. Cap space is worth way more.

Cap space doesn’t score goals.. Ducks are terrible so send Bennett + and bring him in. If there is not a fit expose him on the expansion

Yeah, it's a Turris or Neal type contract. The odds would suggest that he's likely not going to rebound to what he was. But he might be able to score 20 in a better situation. I don't think he's a terrible person or anything but only has seen 4 career playoff games in 680 career games. So he might just be fed up with losing.
I doubt anything happens, but if not for Quarantine maybe a Bennett and Ryan swap for him could have been in play. Treliving has to be at a point where he's dangerously close to making those regrettable Daryl Sutter deals that many fans will never forgive.

Coming off a 26 goal season. May be a team willing to take a chance if the Ducks eat some of that cap. Have heard Henrique has struggled with conditioning in the past.

Don't forget who coaches the Ducks. Maybe Henrique doesn't like rolling around on the ice like a dog.

Don't think you can retain almost 50% of his cap hit. At least I can't see why they would.
