Does DC not have a Media department? Someone with a sense of scale?
"Rapidly making up for lost time!!"
"This movie is going to be HUGE!!! YUGE!!!!"
They havent made a good movie in years, maybe pump the brakes a little?
I'd actually have more respect for them if there was a little humility and honesty.
"This movie is not going to redefine cinema as we know it, but we promise it'll be a little bit of fun with a character that we think you'll like that will probably murder only a few people. But they're bad people. We think."
Like....ease us into it like an old man into tepid bath-water.
Does DC think they still have any credibility with their over-the-top promises?

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.
Interesting casting. She's a relative unknown, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. I wish that DC and Marvel weren't afraid of tall women in physically powerful roles. She's 5'7, which I think is the same as Scarlett Johannson and towers over Pugh. That aside, I'm curious as to how they introduce her in a Flash movie, of all things.

I can't see the Invincible series matching the comic book plot point for plot point and running long enough to do so, but it could be a wild ride all the same.

It’s one of the better series on Image. 144 issues of fun, violent superhero stories, with great creators and real character development. No crossovers or multi-book events to keep up with. Worth reading if anyone just wants a good superhero comic.

Same boat, I love the drama around the sport but I can't just sit and watch cars take laps for 2 hours
Let's hope this project gets made, Blue Beetle is such an interesting character. If you don't know much about him I suggest watching Young Justice he was fantastic in that.
I'm fully on board Spidey being a little guy. I also want Wolverine to be cast with a stocky terrifying dude. It would be great if some of the female characters start being tall, instead of casting tiny people so that the male heroes seem like giants next to them.
They wasted Elizabeth Debicki a bit, by making her the gold queen woman in Guardians of the Galaxy, when at 6'2 and actually talented, she could be crushing people in a more prominent role. A less powerful, but more intimidating Captain Marvel, if I could re-write casting history.
I digress.

Seriously? What blackmail does JJ Abrams have in Hollywood?
Sorry, I know you're enthusiastic but this film is going to be mediocre at best.
He's the ultimate go-to when you want a safe by-the-numbers sci-fi movie, something that will have mass appeal without taking any risks. That probably sounds really good to WB at this point after the WW84 trainwreck

This is basically the only thing that makes sense.
He has turned film-making and story-telling into paint-by-numbers.
"So easy even a child can do it!!"
A JJ Abrams movie is like eating Kraft Dinner if your parents didnt let you put the cheese packet in.
Sure....sustenance is still technically there but...do you really want it?
