I'm not sure who that is a shot at, but assuming it's a shot at anyone unimpressed by the style of play under Ward for two seasons now, all I will say is that this is a very passive ice hockey team and they played a tighter style under Glen Gulutzan, who I also believed was in over his head for other reasons. I don't know rxactly what afjustments need to be made, but GG would. And yet GW has not made them.

If you look at the 2011 Bruins they played a passive style too, and depended on Tim Thomas to make 35+ saves a night, so maybe it's a style that could work, but I am skeptical since that team is about the only passive team to do it in the last couple of decades. (2017 Penguins did too, but they were playing without their #1 defenseman and sort of had no choice)
