Finished Barry. Great show and looking forward to S3. Going to start the last season of True Detective tonight.

I thought there were some good episodes along the way and a lot of bad ones, but totally agree about the finale.

This was a guilty masochist show for me.. the equivalent of watching 'suits'.

So many unforgivable plot holes in it.. pure garbage from any law standpoint. Not sure who the writers were but I may take notes to ensure I never watch anything from these tools ever again.

Still continuing to watch Resident Alien and have become a big fan of the show. Its extremely silly at times, but that makes the Alien out of water scenario work so well. Some of the lines in it are really great.

At one point the main character who knows nothing about Earth except he needs to kill everyone on it is invited to dinner with the town mayor, they ask him where he's from and he tells them New York. When they ask him what New York is like, he uses the opening monologue from Law and Order.

I think I might start it again.

You guys were right about Ted Lasso. I didn't think I'd enjoy it based on the premise (I thought it would be more making fun of both British and American stereotypes), but it's brilliant. Hannah Waddingham's character is just so well written and acted, and to me she's really the role that elevates the rest of the show.

Is there a good site to keep track of when new seasons are returning? I know there were a lot of COVID delays, but curious about:
Barry
Better Call Saul
Succession
Billions
Ozarks

Googling those always brings up a bunch of click bait nonsense.

Ozark started filming in November so it'll likely be later this year. Speculation is a half-season release in summer.

I think Barry literally just started filming in the last week or so.

It lost me on episode 7. It’s basically Walter White as a judge, every episode. I might come back and watch the last episodes.

I am really enjoying The Investigation. It’s about the guy with the home made submarine that kills the journalist. I am not sure how accurate it is, but it had been enjoyable. The subtitles are keeping me focused.

The finale was great if you pretend it was Walt Jr there!

I have to thank all those that recommended Ted Lasso, because going from promos alone I would have never have watched it otherwise. But 3 episodes in and I'm hooked, when Roy was sitting reading the book to his niece, stopped and just loudly said "####!", he instantly became one of my favorite characters from any show

I think the great thing about Ted Lasso is that it's the right show at the right time. This world is dying for something endlessly positive in the face of dire circumstances. He doesn't dismiss reality at all, but he plows ahead regardless with a smile on his face and hope in his heart. That's the type of person I want to be.

Just finished Ep 5, Jason Sudekis deserves an Emmy nod for that one. And I was happy to see that Cam Cole is a real dude and makes real killer music

I just can't recommend Superman and Lois. I watched the first episode tonight. It needs to be named the Mopey adventures of Superman and his two mopey sons and his emotionally disconected wife in a town full of rubes. As superman moves his family back to Smallville so he can be a better father to his two so. . . . . zzzzzzzz.

This is a shame. I'd not had much in the way of hope for this show after seeing the trailers, but I was still hoping that maybe they were saving 'the good stuff' for the actual show. Guess not. I wish that the CW could actually do good superhero shows, but it sure seems like they can't.

I only saw the new Superman through the Crisis Crossover (because I was curious as to why they would waste a Crisis storyline on an annual television event). All that told me, as the new guy shared screentime with old series Supermen, is that he is the weakest of the lot. Lois V6 was also blander.
