Tired of caring?
That has been evident in gio and backs and mony for as long as I can remember them wearing letters.
There’s a country club lifestyle and mentality on this team.
Not excusing tkachuk because he’s playing awful but this entire leadership group has been soft going back years

Or his team mates have a low GAF meter and he doesn't like that.

Agreed. Not just for a period, for a few games. Slotting in 4th liners in the top 3 lines doesn't make sense to me if it's obviously not working out. Put your top 9 in your top 9 and take your chances with your 4th line while limiting their minutes. And leave these pairings alone:
Hanifin-Tanev
Gio-Rasmus
Valimaki-Nesterov

Whoever bet the under was probably very excited about their bet up until 2 minutes left in that period lol

Momentum shifts in hockey are a funny thing, but man, you can see it like a bad movie with these guys. Within seconds after Mangiapane's goal we all had that feeling that they were in trouble. You just know.
I've also been very reluctant to jump on the Fire-Ward train, but he is doing himself no favors.
Any chance of a comeback in the 3rd?
Anyone?
|
None whatsoever!! This group just doesn’t give a ####!! They talk a big game but when the chips are down, they fold!!

He's one of the only guys creating chances.
Unfortunately that also creates risk with the puck and some turnovers but it's necessary to try and get into high danger scoring areas.

Not really. His turnover led to a goal. No problem with that demotion.

All they gotta do is get pucks deep, give 100%, and get back to playing their game.

Just rewatched the fourth goal. Tkachuk turned it over at the blue line, then literally took a knee and gave up on the play. I don’t think I’ve ever seen an uninjured player do that in the NHL. Something is not right with him.

The second goal was kind of questionable but I can’t fault him on any of them really. Markstrom should tear a strip off these bozos. Lucic is the best player on the ice (from Calgary) ffs.

Good thing we are playing one of the worst teams in the league. Give a good 15 minute effort in the 3rd and we can still beat them.

He was injured though...he took a crosscheck on the play

Agreed.
This is the period where Tkachuk needs to pull the log out of his ass finally as well as a handful of other names and bring a Herculean effort for their goaltender.

What are they doing, I mean the coach and GM, are they tanking? Wondering how the coach blames his players after this game. These line changes are weird. So mony and Jonny got a healthy scratch each game?

He was good on the boards after they put Ritchie with him to work with, and he made a bunch of nice passes (which his linemates then scrubbed). Playing heavier again.
