Medvedev leads the h2h matchup with Tsitsipas 5-1 (although Greek Yogurt won their last match at the Nitto ATP finals in London in 2019). These two guys don't like each other (it dates back to 2018 when Tsitsipas called Medvedev a "bullcrap Russian" after losing to Medvedev in Miami).

Djokovic is 4-3 against Medvedev and 4-2 against Tsitsipas. At the French Tsitsipas almost came back from 2 sets against Djokovic before an injury in the 5th and Djokovic was able to win. Honestly I think Djokovic and his fans would have rather played Nadal in the finals than either these guys.

I was 1-for-4 last night (barely over the Mendoza line). I'll take Osaka and Brady.

Tsitsi's extra days of rest definitely became a big advantage for him in those final 2 sets. Another bad break for Rafa in Melbourne.

Certainly didn't help your right lol. I think Tsitsipas was too strong and too dialed in that even if he didn't have the extra rest he would have still won. Rafa and Australia don't go well together lol, but the good news is that clay season starts soonish

Osaka starting to find her range? But, I was certain she was on the verge of retiring (both from this match and permanently from tennis in general) due to sheer intimidation in the presence of her idol, her hero, THE MOTHER

Four straight games for Naomi who has settled in nicely and now Serena is looking nervous.

Looks like Serena missed her one chance to take control of the match and she's done now.

Agreed. She has multiple chances to break Naomi and couldn't get it done. Serena is a great front-runner, but she doesn't do well when she's playing from behind.

WTA Twitter account is annoying. It’s “Serena” but only “Osaka” for Naomi. Either use both of their first names or don’t use them at all. And the excuse of character length doesn’t fly. Optics are optics.
