I'm a bit disappointed that the Leafs didn't trade him somewhere else today.

Hot take Scorp. Might want to compare him to some of the talent on the Flames. I mean, if you're going to put him down for only putting up 24 points last season, then maybe we could apply that same brush to someone who put up half that in similar time? This team needs another player with ability to make a pass and convert chances. Galchenyuk would have been an improvement over multiple players on our current roster.
You can say that again. Instead of these spots being overly occupied by dead fish like Bennett, Simon, Leivo, nordstrom and Ryan, a guy like Galchenyuk could actually benefit the PP and finish plays from time to time.

The guy is certainly an enigma, but at least he does produce at a level superior to the Flames numerous replacement level scrubs.

These four players have played a collective total of 7:17 on the powerplay all season. Most of that is from Josh Leivo, who played 2:04 in Backlund's absence on Saturday, and was a healthy scratch last night.

I really don't see that this is an issue.

Lol on Gally, those of us that watch the Habs knew what a dog he was when they stole Domi from the Coyotes for this player. The idea that the Flames could benefit from this player is absurd. Furthermore, It’s an indication that the Leafs are going in the wrong direction.

If you think Gally is a good player, all it says is that you judge players by the stat line and actually do not watch any games.

I'd say it's an indication of what happens when you blow half your cap on four forwards and have to fill out your roster with table scraps.

I don't get this take. No one wants him...he's the village bicycle at this point.

Yet you are so keen to ship Bennett out because (i'm summarizing here) he is what he is at this point. Jack Roslovic (same age as Bennett at 24) just completely did a 180 on his new team.
