I mean for all the complaining about the refs in the first, they certainly have let the Flames get away with a few so far this period. Need to stop giving them an excuse.

I'd like to see this:

Tkachuk - Lindholm - Phillips
Gaudreau - Monahan - Leivo
Mangiapane - Backlund - Ryan
Lucic - Bennett - Dube

Ref needs to blow the whistle when Mackey’s leg is pinned like that.

it is amazing that the Flames can have this much pressure and not a single infraction by the Nucks

Part of being good on the 4v is winning battles , puck races and establishing control of the mid ice corridor.
I don’t remember the Flames doing those things consistently on a shift, except for one, in the first period. The one where they scored.

Well, that plus the fact that they go backwards and KEEP it in their own end even when they have a chance to get it out.

The effort is there. The style of play is
1) brutal
2) not the right style for the team

Why does Lucic look like one of our best players? Because this style actually suits him.
Nope. I'm not talking about systems or what they do in their own end, I'm talking about effort and pressure when they have the puck in the offensive zone. Skating, hitting, pressure, intensity.

I know, I know........it's always Geoff Ward's fault for everything, but it is amazing when the players actually play with the intensity they are capable of that positive things happen.

I believe AL MacInnis fell similarly to Mackey when he dislocated his hip.

Well Ryan’s out for a fair bit.

I think they should convert Kylington.

I like the canucks commentators as far as opposition teams go.

Good at objective observations and not pushing some ####ing agenda down our throats when it's not evident on the ice.

The camaraderie and connection between Ball and Hrudey is wonderful. Cracked me up hearing them talk about the Mackey fall into the boards in that jovial manner.
