Flames should've gotten blown-out that game. Really if it wasn't for Markstrom this season, Flames would be competing for bottom spot with Senators. It's why the Flames can't even attempt to start Rittich to backup since this team can't start well.

Canucks play like that way I wish the Flames system would be set up to play as. Aggressive, and fast paced. That's the style that's suited for the roster. This conservative style is really ineffective for even strength play.

When the entire team (other than the goalie) doesn't show up, it tough not to blame the coach. Especially when the team shows up flat in the first and doesn't adjust at all.

Even in wins we've been outcoached, tonight it was just obvious

I guess Ward's "big adjustment" was bringing in Mackey. That's it. That was all that was needed. Before, during and after.

We need a real coach. This is getting tiring.

Monahan, Gaudreau, Bennett, Tkachuk, Dube, Lucic, Gio, Andersson, Leivo and Hanifin

All way below average games.

They deserved what they got in this one.

But yeah...it was the coaching telling them to turn the puck over in every area of the ice.

Laughable.

I don't care how desperate the Canucks are that was absolutely pathetic. And it just proved how much of a mistake Treliving made re-signing Ward.

Funny how people sour on Tkachuk so quickly. Hes the only guy that gave a #### for a long time.

I'm fine with him sending a message against Edler, even if it came too late.

Flip side is if the Flames go after him earlier, they likely take a penalty in a tied game or when they were trailing late, which doesn't help either.

And if there was no response after the dirty elbow, that's the worst case scenario IMO.

I hate to pile on after a loss, but that was just disgusting. By far the most uninspired effort I’ve seen from this team in a long time. Poor coaching, poor passing, poor checking, just a complete dog shirt game. They need to figure some things out, and quickly.

No energy, no enthusiasim and worst of all they were a step behind the Canucks all night. There is a serious problem in the dressing room with players who can't get up for games.

Some will say it's the coach but how many coaches do we have to go through before we realise it's a player problem.

I genuinely don't understand how anyone can defend Ward being an NHL head coach anymore.

Tkachuk reminding Edler that he owns the reverse hits.
