The commentary has been fine tonight. People are hypersensitive unless they are raving about the Flames. What do you expect in this game, what has Calgary done to deserve any sort of praise? It doesn’t matter who calls the game (outside of Ball) but it’s constant complaining about some sort of perceived negativity about Calgary. People need to realize that the other team can be complemented for good play especially on a national broadcast.

Sorry this is a real gear grinder for me. Definitely takes away from the game.

Play connected & communicate and be poised, play smart &solid defensively. Play simple and direct offensively. CGY needs to skate and be disciplined.

No panic just win the period.

Stop. You’re embarrassing yourself.

They have gained the zone multiple times on the PP and Johnny has proceeded to turn it over.

That’s Lack of execution!

Some games it's deserved but I don't mind it at all tonight

We're just definitely spoiled by hearing Ball so often

It was a miscommunication between MacKey and Gaudreau, causing a turnover at their own blue line. Not all his fault but he was involved.

He's not done. He just needs a coach who can recognize his limitations and deploy him appropriately. This means no PP time and a few less 5v5 shifts over the night. If we are that I bet he starts to look much better.

Of course Ward does the opposite.

I didn’t think the Edler elbow was that bad. It wasn’t nearly as bad as Chucky on Doughty.

They showed a hit from Lucic from LAST GAME and said he should let up because he is big and then praised an elbow to the head from a Canucks dman. Nothing to do with how the game is going.

"Done" and "slowing down / getting surpassed by other defencemen on the team" are very different things.

The hyperbole in the game threads is pretty ridiculous.

Between Hughson Debrusk and Bieksa do we even know who the other team is that the Canucks are playing.
Roundhouses aplenty due.
I always hated when Cassie did our games but be careful what u wish for.

He's got charisma though, and is not a baseboard like any other personality. That's why he gets a positive reception. People want to pay attention to what he's gonna say.

If I’m Geoff Ward I shorten my bench and would go with these lines in the third:

Gaudreau-Monahan-Mangiapane
Tkachuk - Lindholm - Leivo
Lucic - Bennett - Dube

Flip Mangiapane and Leivo if you want but something like that.

Mackey looked like he wanted to play the puck, but when he saw Johnny kind of move like he was going to grab it, Mackey backed off it and no one took it.
It's the kind of play you'd expect from a guy playing his first game in the NHL.

It was basically the same thing. That was an elbow to the face.
