I know I’m a big Lucic apologist but can I just say he’s looked great these last few games with Backlund and Mangiapane?
Also he now has double the amount of points Neal has. Lol.

Rather important win standings wise. Reel the Jets back in a little.

I'm sure the Oilers could vouch for that one.

To have the big man our there and contribute. PLUS being a nuclear deterrent is such a luxury. He has been doing well and the defence pellet their pants when it is dumped in their corner.

Now every other team should sit while the Flames play the Senators for a week.
Right? Or...

That line has been fantastic - and it isn't just one or two of them carrying all the load, all 3 have been great

Missed the first, but caught the second and third.
I thought the third was very impressive. The Flames kept their foot on the gas and didn't sit back.
It's really crazy how the Flames can roll three d pairings without drama. That will pay dividends layer in the compressed season.
Great game.

Backlund can be added to list of guys playing with great confidence. Great to see it spreading on the team. He talked about swagger after last game and delivered. Got down 0-1 and team didn't wilt. Team needs to keep building, the confidence grows and then you got a team with swagger - they know they can score and play well regardless of game situation!

Solid game, team looked grounded and stuck with a close matchup tonight. Hopefully they continue like this.

I thought Backlund and Monahan had great games tonight. If those two continue to play that heavy, mixed with the same offensive jump we will go places this year.

Tkachuk - Lindholm - Dube were a force.
Dube has come to play.
Mikael Backlund just makes players better.
Now that we know Lucic CAN move like that, it's expected. Great game from him.
Markstrom is the man.

You could name another player or two then.
I was happy watching Valimaki tonight. He looked more like he did in a lot of the Ilves highlights. High hopes.
