Paul Maurice is on his 8th season as Jets head coach I believe. That's kind of crazy when you consider they haven't had a lot of success over his tenure. Even this season they look kind of like the Flames in that they may make the playoffs but won't be a real contender or anything.

i will miss seeing burke on TV.

Would be nice if sportsnet replaced him with Eric D, but that being said, it seems like they have about 50 ex players on staff, so it would seem doubtful they would hire a new guy.

Pittsburgh clearly reaching a crossroads with crosby, letang and malkin - maybe not as much with crosby though as i feel like he could be productive for a few more years, but maybe the stats tell me something different

They just had a segment on in the intermission with Burke speaking about the incident between Tortorella and Hartley. He revealed that Tortorella was so wound up that night because he was awaiting word on his son's first deploymemt: he is a special ops officer in the US military.

Hahah, what a week! My wife got me Hextall Flyers socks for Christmas. What do I do with them now? I had an even more haunting revelation this morning. I’ve been considering getting a vintage Flyers jersey from the 80’s era team. I have been going back and forth on Hextall and Tocchet for awhile now. This morning, I was thinking “well, I guess this makes my choice easier!” And then... I had the horrifying realization that Tocchet is just as tied to the Pens as Hextall. So I guess I’m going with Peter Zezel? Sarge? Mark LaForest?
