This team is decidedly Forrest Gump so far this year. You never know what you are going to get.
I think we know.

One terrible period.
One even period.
One dominant period.

We just don't know the order or the impact of each.

If Markstrom can hold the fort in the terrible period they have a decent chance of winning if they can get away from this shooting percentage stink hole they've been in ... certainly worked against Edmonton.

No surprises in the Flames lineup.

https://twitter.com/user/status/1359194316392960003

Bennett with Monahan and Gaudreau.
Lucic with Backlund and Mangiapane.
Markstrom gets the start.

I like the 8 PM start... That's exactly when I put my 1 1/2 year old Flames fan to bed. Fun fact, he's named Matthew after Tkachuk and he was born on the 19th of August

Yes I am okay with the later starts for a similar reason. I have become a fan of recording the games and watching them after I get my 4 year old Daughter to bed. I put my phone away and watch the game as if it was live and just fast forward through the commercials and intermissions. It is great and keeps me away from doing a double screen during the game.

I don’t think I have watched a game before 7:30 live in the past 4 years unless I am at the dome or a bar/buddies house watching.

I'm not a superstitious hockey fan, but the Flames are 5-0-0 when I watch them live on the main floor TV. All the loses so far have come from me PVRing the game and trying to catch up. I also find it helps when the volume is at 19.

I have already made my intentions known to the wife that the TV is mine. I think the hockey gods have been appeased and the Flames will get the win.

Ha - I have sons named Iggy and Roman. They are a bit older than your Mathew though.

My boy is Bennett who was born before Sam Bennett was on the Flames and he was born September 3rd. His jersey works out perfectly for him.

Yep! If the game starts before 7:30 that means I'm stuck watching on my phone multi-tasking. Prefer the late games. Sometimes don't make it through the whole thing. But it's nice to watch with no distractions.

Gotta win this game or we will be playing for 4th in the division before this cold snap ends. Winnipeg owning us so far this season. Statement game.

Avatar checks out.

Hoping for a good effort over 60 minutes, then anything is possible.

I'm sure someone in the world has their 90th birthday today so I'm predicting a 9-0 win.

My nephew turns 23 today, so, it'll be a 3-2 win for the Flames.

Liking these lines a lot! Would only swap the 1st and 2nd D pairings, but yeah.

Very intrigued to see how things play out tonight.

I think the players want this too. Just off the top of my head, Lucic and Bennett were two guys who have been "complaining" about the constant shuffling. They have a point, this early in the season, give them some time to find chemistry.
