Love the Jerseys. Love Bennett scoring. Love Markstrom. Loved Lindholms game tonight. Extra bit of grit in there. Love outer defensemen. There's quirks like growing pains for Valimaki and the decline of Gio but overall I think it's the best corps we've had in years and years.

Hopefully Ward keeps the top of the roster the way it is and tinkers with the 4th line only.

Always nice to score 6 on the Oilers.

Very small but a rare good decision that paid off for Ward.

Third period PP, tie game. First unit has a very timid start to their shift. Whistle after about 40 seconds with a face off in EDM zone. Normally that first unit stays out, but Ward puts out Backlund, Lucic, Dube, Mangiapane who had been having a better night and sure enough it pays off with a huge goal to get that lead back.

Gotta start playing better in the first, but that was a great game! Three solid lines all attacking. Having Dube and Mangiapane playing well makes that kind of depth possible.

It'll be interesting to see what happens with Bennett. Ideally he stays with the team and runs with the opportunity to play on the first line.

That top 4 defence looks great two. Nesterov was also solid in his role. Valimaki looks questionable at points, but he's in a great role to hopefully develop.

It is as if you did not even watch the game. He was instrumental in pretty much every zone exit that line successfully executed for the first two periods, including one where he sprung Gaudreau on a rush that became a two-on-one.

And lol, a minus where the other team got a perfect deflection and another minus where Lindholm got walked after a quality rush chance got saved by the other team's goalie.

You really have no credibility.

We still need to figure out our best winger utilization on RW but with Tkachuk - Lindholm, Gaudreau-Monahan, Mangiapane-Backlund we are looking pretty good at C and LW this season.
I want, in order, Bennett, Dube and Lucic with those lines.

Yikes, clearly a touchy subject lol

I thought he looked good, especially compared to Simon or Leivo. I'd rather they keep Bennett there for few games and see how it goes

They seem to want to keep Tkachuk-Lindholm-Dube together, Lucic-Backlund-Manigapane were great tonight so I don't think it's crazy to want to keep Gaudreau-Monahan-Bennett together

It's been overly well documented your POV. But perhaps allow some fans to be happy instead of flexing your tirade every waking moment. I'm sure therell be plenty of other deserving opportunities to flex your Bennett hate.

But seriously please...for the sake of everyone, restrain yourself during happy times. Let's be happy!

LOL, I'm not convinced Gaudreau understood but Stajan asked Johnny how surprised he was on his goal realizing that it was McDavid as the last man back.

Gaudreau: "Oh it was a treat being the last man back there."

I have to be honest

It warms the soul to know that their season is already a write off with that goaltending (nevermind the rest of the roster)

There's no way that they can go anywhere with that tandem.

Koskinen managing average hockey was the last straw between them and the abyss.
