Interesting to see a lot of comments about the coaching tonight. I don't disagree, but this is what we get, they won't fire him any time soon unless things really unravel. Tre is yet again hoping his bargain bin head coach is the next hidden gem. Doesn't look like it so far.

I'm waiting for the first member of an NHL coaching staff to fall over backwards when he forgets there is no glass behind him.

Kylington and Bennett, along with Dube, Mangiapane and Gaudreau consitute 40% of our puck team's aggregate puck-carrying ability.

Kind of sad that our coach thinks benching both is the answer

Lacklustre effort by the whole team. Simone is bad. Putting bleh players on the 1st line is achieving what?

They are praying one of them clicks but refuse to make the adjustment when clearly none are working there. The same way they refuse to adjust anything from period to period, let alone from game to game.

Ten games down.

4-5-1 is not good.

4-5-1 is also not crisis mode.

This division, this year is all about getting in the dance. There are no powerhouses in this division so any notion like previous years of getting in the final spot only to get smoked by a juggernaut simply shouldn’t exist.

So much time to go, so much time to turn this around. Let’s see if they’re up for the challenge. I believe in the group.

Yikes...glad I wasn't able to watch this one tonight. Sounds like a typical sub-par Flames performance from the past couple of seasons. Fall behind by a goal or two, get mentally rattled as a result, and then just basically throw in the towel by the 3rd.

I'm thinkin' this team is overdue for a major overhaul, starting with the core group. Next priority after that should be to hire a better coach (and staff), preferably a more proven one.

I have to admit I was only able to watch up to 1-1. I thought they were pretty good in the first but also Markstrom made some nice stops (Ehlers - who somehow got behind with uncontested shot). I thought the PP was very static and easy to defend. Both units. They didn't really get any shots or look dangerous. I also saw again plays in their own end where puck is on their sticks and not too much pressure and they give it away. So when they should be out pretty easy they get stuck defending.

On the tying goal that was started by a give away when they have control and don't execute a simple play. They just beat themselves.

They may need to change the D pairings and PP personnel. Ward said they could have 3 units. Play guys who are getting the job done. At this level of competition the coaching staff needs to be a little ruthless ie some guys will be unhappy but they need to swallow pride for what's best for the team, to win. Winning fixes everything.

Cover the ice better with the pairings. Make sure with the puck. Cut out the giveaways. Deploy lines better without deference to egos. Performance is the only thing that matters so play guys who are getting it done.

Why are the players continually giving the puck away. They are NHL players, they shouldn't make unforced giveaways (unless injuries).

I don't want to pile on with negativity but they need to address the fact they make same errors or why personnel deployment is sub optimal. Performance over pedigree or anything else.

Unpopular now but I like this team - I think they have great potential but it is not being actualized. Why? Get down to the heart of it.

Haha did you see Monahan cross-check Tkachuk in the back near the end of the game?

Simon is really bland. What does he do well again? He’s pretty lost in the defensive zone. They gotta move lindy back to rw. The flames miss Michael ferland a lot. More so Johnny and monny. Who works with these guys? Is myles wood obtainable for a fair deal for this top line? Like a first? It’s a weak draft apparently. It’s a good time to sell picks. Especially with scouting being what it is these days.

This team has had games that have been great to watch with dominant passing and possession, but not since they had that short break. The way they played tonight was like a different team. They sucked.

They certainly seem to get figured out by opposition and then have nothing else that works.

Fan 960 crew talking about how the team is struggling as they figure out how to integrate all the new players.

...every team has new players. Every team. This team signed a defence man who has been good, and a goalie who has been elite. They then signed a bunch of junk and are playing them WAY too much and WAY too high in the line-up.

Were they guilty of looking ahead to Saturday's game? I hope that is their excuse.
