So....
- we're no good after long breaks
- we're no good in the first period (tonight being a rare exception)
- we're no good on the road
- we're no good when the other team scores first (usually)
- we're no good in afternoon games
- we're no good in back to back games
- we're no good in first home game after a long road trip (hello guaranteed loss Sat night)
- we're no good......?

I’m not advocating a trade, I’m not saying to blow it up, but maybe we should all just accept that our core is mediocre and inconsistent. We don’t know what we’re getting every night.

We’ve also seen huge decreases in quality from some veteran depth guys like Backlund. I think we need to adjust our expectations.

It’s still early, but nothing that’s happening is surprising anymore. They’re a bubble team.
Yep, they have some good pieces on paper but we've seen this core long enough now to know what they are. When they are on top of their game they look good, more often than not they look average because their top guys aren't the best players on the ice.

It's tough as a fan when you look at it on paper and think 'if this team plays their best every night they could be really good!'. But they don't. So it's time to lash out at someone, almost every single time it's the coach.

It's tough to tell yourself this is a very good hockey team when in reality they're not. It stings. Changes should have been last season.

the reason they can't enter the zone is their system. So yes, it will.

depending on who the replacement is, of course

Remind me, what’s the logic for Simon playing on the 1st line?

It’s not the coach. And don’t give me that lazy “we never had an elite coach” garbage. It’s a lazy argument based entirely in hypotheticals that’s impossible to prove or disprove.

What we CAN prove is that this core has had three coaches in 4 years and they get similar results.

It’s the players. They aren’t good enough. That’s it.
The coach is not helping. He has no accountability for veterans, cant lead and wont make adjustments. The players and gm suck too. But the coach is a problem as well.

Are you watching the product on the ice? This team can’t compete on a regular basis with Toronto Montreal and this Winnipeg team that is only getting better.

It is what it is. Try and battle it out with the Oil for the fourth playoff spot.

What do your eyes tell you?

Boudreau maybe. Gallant’s not a good coach.

There’s a lot to criticize here obviously but above all and by a very large margin, the most disgusting and unlikable quality of this team is how mentally weak they are. Just shattered confidence, and they give up.

They are good players, they just don’t believe in themselves, and when something doesn’t go their way, they quit. Gross. Pathetic attitude.

Has Gaudreau connected on a pass attempt yet tonight?

It feels like our entire offense runs trough him right now, and when he's off... hoo boy.
