Sad to see Backlund and gio apparently regress so much this season. Hopefully it's just the lack of preseason to warm up for these old guys.

Honestly it was looking like a good move by Backlund. No one else was taking a defensive spot at all to help cover and he did get hit in the hands just before without a call

It’s not something you do with both D in deep (for some reason) and Lucic the other guy back. Brodie used to get dragged for doing the same thing.
