Not to derail this thread but I don't think ownership is to blame.

I think Treliving is trying to find "his" version of Jon Cooper or Jerad Bednar or Mike Sullivan.

I just don't think he ever will.

Good NHL coach, yes.

Hartley was passable for his short "hard coach" shelf life.

Otherwise they've been good AHL/Junior level coaches, but not cut out for this level of the game.
