Valimaki is showing great vision from the point with the slap-passes!

I was a little critical of Valimaki at the beginning of the season. Now I’m happily eating crow as this guy could be all world.

No question

By this time next year, top pair is him and Valimaki

Anyone else getting massive delays with their Budweiser red light? Last few games it's going off at least 5 minutes after goals.

Simone will bring some value soon. He had the same 5 day break but without the chance to get his feet under him in a game yet.

That was a great tip by Mangiapane, but I loved how Valimaki was able to get both shots through from the point.

That was a wild first. Felt like red rover at both blue lines.
Great to get a goal, but more importantly, I loved that we saw the hard work continue after we scored. The team didn't just relax a bit and wait for the end of the 1st.

I know they want to keep Mangiapane with Backlund, but I think he would be a great fit with Monahan and Gaudreau. This is an excellent top six:

Tkachuk - Lindholm - Dube
Gaudreau - Monahan - Mangiapane

But it really orphans Backlund in the bottom six.

Valimaki sure looks good after that rough Montreal outing. Someone here called him a rover. I can see that emerging. His ability to make plays offensively with his head up is really apparent.

Such a smart play to shoot for the tip. Mark Stone would have looked nice beside our top line duo but this kid could make us all forget that in a few years if he’s a top pairing guy.

Exactly. It's like Geoff Ward thought hey, Johnny and Mony are playing well, that Mangiapane kid is really developing and getting hot....nope, I am going to put a border line NHL player with those two and give the Mangiapane kid two struggling players on the 3rd line. Oh, and that Bennett guy has been playing hard and looks like he is trying to get better, better scratch him.

When does Treliving get fired for his inability to hire a capable coach? Let him sign and trade but good lord he cannot pick a coach worth a damn.

Bennett scratch had to come from Tre or else he must be livid at Ward.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess every one was bitching and nitpicking our play in here until the goal was scored.

Good period.

Mang didn't look good with Johnny and Mony the last few games when Dube was injured and he was shaking up the lines. Makes sense he kept them separate

Arguably Peters was a good coach.

(not suggesting he shouldn't have been fired).

He’s that good. Either that or he’s going to hatch a full grown clone of himself.
