He is listed on their taxi squad.
I don't believe for a second that he is seriously being considered.

What if D’Angelo (a) came with a decent added price, like picks or a player (b) had salary retained and (c) never saw the dressing room here?

Well the flames have been searching for a team identity. Maybe they've chosen to double down after the Peters incident?

I am more interested in this option than some others- someone suggested it as a way to dump Lucic for example, which I think would be magnificent. Though it would likely spell the end of cup run potential this season as we bring in more youth to our bottom 6 and removing both Bennett and Lucic from the roster does make us significantly less "tough". But the flexibility it would give us next offseason and the following could be magical- that is Hall signing money for sure.
Still not sold on the concept though.

Tough-wise I suppose you could ask for, say Brett Howden, who’s local, cheap, plays physically, but is a fairly big bust for NYR.

why would the Rangers do it though?
they can leave him at home and do the buyout themselves, instead of taking back a crap contract or giving up assets.

Only if the Ranger's GM forgot to take GM 101 at University.
If no one wants to take DeAngelo, the Rangers will let him sit all year and then buy him out.
Plus when did the Flames become the team with cap space to burn?

It all depends how badly they want him gone, I suppose. You’re right about the Flames and cap space. They’d need to create it.
I think pretty much any team will look at it the same way, and the Rangers will end up sitting him all year and then dumping him.

I like how Boomer is the source that DeAngelo is not coming here. He tweeted that he talked to someone in the Flames front office, so you know who that has to be. I imagine the conversation went something like this:
Boomer: "So Connie, are you guys really considering DeAngelo?"
Conroy: "No chance. You see, Tre just wanted to make some phone calls and...
<< 45 minutes later >>
... and that's how we drafted Dustin Wolf in 2019."
Boomer: "Thanks Connie."

If the Flames acquire DeAngelo do they change the logo to the Flaming Q from the Quad City days or is a Flaming lower case t more appropriate?

Spitting makes you miss out on large parts of the back of the pallette as well as leaves you missing out on how it goes down. Though not spitting fries your pallette as you get drunk. The trick is finding the balance.
Source: just trust me, bro. But, like seriously this time cause I actually do do this for a living.... Drink.. not troll. Trolling is just a passion project.
