Ken Wiebe has confirmed that Hellebuyck will start for the Jets. Nothing from the Flames, but I think we would all be shocked if Markstrom isn't in net.

The scariest thing i've noticed from Ward this year is that he's doing the similar "stare at the ipad in the floor" and then "stare at the ceiling" when we get scored on.
That is quintessential Gulutzan coaching and the parallels are growing each game.

It was a stupid complaint raised about Gulutzan, and it is no less stupid now.
Ward absolutely deserves criticism for several of his in-game and lineup decisions, but the moment the floor monitor and facial expressions on the bench become a factor in that critique you have lost all credibility.,

It would be a fantastic added bonus if that goal came in the first period. The Flames have scored only scored six of those, and only two since Game #2.

I know this is hyperbolic, but this game is an early season must win. We are losing touch with the division leaders and will be a ways back from Winnipeg if we lose this game. Then the talk will start about us or that #### team up north fighting it out for the fourth playoff spot. no thanks.

The fact is you don't see (established and highly regarded) coaches like Torts, Quenneville, Vignault, Trotz, etc. have the instant reaction to look to the sky as if looking for a sign from god after a goal against instead of actively trying to either motivate their players or do something else.
I just find the flames are playing a system and game that is eerily reminiscent of Gulutzan hockey and that is not a recipe for success.
We know the flames aren't winning the cup so we may as well get to watch entertaining hockey in the meantime.
