No, the chip and chase system is exactly that and you know it. Hard to drive offense when you dump, chase, defend. I have noticed this period the team has carried the puck more into the zone so maybe things are being adapted which would be a nice change. This is a skill group, playing dump and chase is not productive for the way this forward group is built.

Down by 2 to start the period and you get 6 shots on goal and only really 2 quality scoring chances, own of which you don’t get a shot because you miss the net.
Solid effort Flames. Rittich keeping it somewhat close.

CGY needs to get at least some traffic and action on their offensive forays. Get inside and get to the rebounds. Its a very outside distance shot offense that period.
Ryan needs to get inside get pucks to the net where Lucic can bang away. CGY is passing it around the perimeter which is ok but get action at the net and get some greasy goals.
Not hungry enough, skating miles, burning calories but need to accomplish something. Take it to the net.
Play Bennett with guys who will get to the front of the net and let him take it there. They need to make it hard on WPG in the offensive zone.
Play more direct.
