The giveaway by Lucic is bad but his teammates need to help him out too. Just a lazy lazy “check” by Backlund on his guy and that how the goal is scored.

If Dube makes that play he sits the rest of the game. Lucic gets sent back out to get scored in again. Typical coaching crutch to rely too much in veterans because it's easier.

Nobody. Markstrom. Rittich my get a the 2nd of a back to back every now and them but he won't get as many starts as they were envisioning at the start of the season. They're off to a slow start and need to play catchup and can't rely on Rittich right now. They're in a crappy position with backups right now.

That Lucic turnover wasn't particularly egregious in my eyes. Thought it was more a case of good forechecking than anything. But he was the last Flame to touch the puck before a goal against so I suppose it makes it easy to assign blame.

Dave needs to make that save.

Lucic with a giveaway and a defensive breakdown on the PP by the rest of the Flames not taking the man skating into the slot all alone, then Rittich lost his net twice.

Aside from the brutal giveaway by looch I'm going to attribute those goals to the skill difference between Marky and Ritter.

I'm confident based on size and glove hand alone we would have a tied game at the very least.

Also, the Hanev wall took a bit of a dent with a weird collision between the two of them on one goal.
