Lol this is so hilarious. It's just straight gambling, pick your spot right and you can double your money quick.

I mean, c'mon Mark. What the hell is that about? Are you saying you, a billionaire, can't afford to hold the stock? Couldn't even buy a share or 10 or 100 just to show how much you support 'the little guys changing the game'?
But the guy wanted an ego boost and it looks like he got it.

That is criminally bad advice when the topic - and the audience - is all about speculative, short term plays

To be clear, "put money in and hold" is excellent advice in normal circumstances, and most people should follow it.
But that doesn't apply to this situation.

I sold my BB for a 20% loss. It seems like the downside for BB could be $10. Maybe I will buy in at that price as a long term investment. Or more likely this goes back to $30 because I sold.

If it hits $30 because you sold I’ll buy you a case of beer!

I'm definitely going to rebuy BB if it drops down around $10. I had originally bought them early Jan because I do think they have real potential. Sold my position when they went up because the gains were too good to pass up. Their business strategy is still the same pre-WSB.
Sold half my NIO, MP, and IPOE over the past 2 days. I bought into TSM and AMAT as the semiconductor sector is expected to boom this year as there is a worldwide shortage of chips.
Also bought a little SNDL around $0.89 per share, partially because of the reddit stuff but also because with US legalization on the horizon they have a chance to be big as one of the few cannabis companies listed on a big US exchange.

Manwich had some analysis that AMC was a get in and get out stock with how that company was doing long before Covid. And keep in mind his get in and get out strategy was based on looking for $5-$7....then it became a meme.
I feel pretty lucky at this point, I made quite a bit off this stuff as I was holding BB and AMC before this happened. I made two decisions in recent days that have my stress level way down.
Sold final AMC shares at $15.90 the other day, sold all remaining BB at $19.00 yesterday after selling the first half for $33 last week. It went against my plan with BB.

I did this fully understanding that BB or AMC could burn me with huge jumps, but ultimately I looked at my skill level and said "Nope, just take your huge gains from a weird event and move on", and it feels like the right move at this moment.

Part of me wonders how the non-zero commission discount brokerages made out with the massive bump in retail trading. I'm with RBC, considering how they crashed almost every morning at Market open there was a lot of activity. At 10$ a trade, that's some sweet commissions.
Or maybe its just a blip on their already giant balance sheet.
My biggest position was AMC, I dabbled a bit in BB, SPCE and NOK. Basically breaking even on those. I scaled and held for my price targets on AMC, then the Robinhood stuff came down and I scrambled a bit to decide if I was holding or just getting out. I mostly got out, then decided to rebuy in small amounts over the last few days to see how this week went, slowly eroding profits from last week. Now I'm out, I've had enough.
Its hilarious in the craziness to look back to last week staring at a 700% gain, and today I'm neutral on a measly 425% gain. Greed and FOMO, yeesh.
I started watching SPACs a little while ago with SPAQ to FSR. Did OK there. I'm in AMCI now and when that hopefully follows through I think I'm going back to to adding to my super exciting positions in utilities, consumer staples, et al. It was fun while it lasted.
.......Unless something reeeeels me back in!

It's never a bad idea to take profits. I'm sure you'll have the opportunity to buy back into BB when the attention around the company falls off. Plus, not having to worry about it is nice. I have a co-worker that is still holding some NOK and GME and he is stressed.

If you put enough money into any of NOK, GME, AMC, or BB after the increases you put too much in. It is going to be a very sad lesson for some people. These type of investments are just gambling at the end of the day.
Does anyone truly believe that GME is a $20+B company? No one seemed to care to give that any thought? I am seeing all of these stories on reddit about people complaining how ruined they are and how their life savings is gone... It boggles my mind.

Guys if you haven't yolo'd on a meme stock, you haven't lived. Never felt more alive.
Last week was a wild ride. Today - kinda sombre. But tomorrow the squeeze is coming maybe.
Anyway, diamond hands. $GME

It does look fun as heck, but I never learned it. And now I'm too shy to try to learn at the casino.
